This plot displays the spectral data over time with the amplitude shown in color. For some users, this display is difficult to interpret, but with a little practice it is one of the most useful displays available for spectral analysis. Simply think of it as if you were looking down on the 3-D Surface plot and that the amplitude is shown in color. The color bar to the right of the plot shows the amplitude/color relationship.
Double clicking the left mouse button within the spectrogram will display the corresponding spectral and time series data in their respective plots.
