What's New?

SpectraDAQ-200: Our custom designed precision data acquisition sound card. Fixed gain steps for easy calibration, standard BNC connectors, exceptional dynamic range and extremely low distortion.

SpectraPLUS-RT: The baby brother to SpectraPLUS-SC - designed for users needing a high quality spectrum analyzer at a lower cost and a minimal learning curve.  Provides real time spectral analysis with Narrowband, 1/1 or 1/3 Octave resolution.

SpectraPLUS-DT: Our multichannel analyzer supporting the Data Translation line of industrial data acquisition modules.  Up to 16 channels of acquisition and analysis with calibrated input levels, IEPE power, AC or DC coupling, and sampling rates as high as 2 MHz!

Added support for recording and processing the tachometer input channel on the DT-9837 and DT-9826 modules.  Plot RPM versus Time as well as a dedicated RPM utility window.

Also added feature to Save and Load groups of files with one button click.

Expanded set of COM API functions.

Support for Installation in \Program Files and \My Documents

Added Sound Power level measurement utility (ISO-3744/3746).

Dynamic DC Offset - advanced algorithm for DC offset removal based on signal content.

Phase setting for the signal generator multi-tone signal type.

High resolution peak frequency readings when a Gaussian smoothing window type is used.  This provides very high frequency resolution in the Peak Frequency Utility window and also in the Data Logging and Automation peak frequency values

Added Run Control options to allow control of the update interval when using the Post Processing mode.  This allows you to "slow down" the analyzer for easier analysis when needed.

Added custom color option for the 3-D Surface plot.
Added special key press (-) to step backwards in the file.
Added option to automatically start all other open instances of the analyzer.
Added option to specify the number or tachometer ticks per revolution.

Added "Save All Files Using Prefix" option to easily manage large numbers of files.

Added ability to export multiple wave files to a Universal File Format type 58 or 58b

Increased the number of overlays from 6 to 12
Improved support for Impact Hammer testing with options for setting Force window width and Exponential window time constant.
Added support for Metadata in wave files
Added Threshold conditions for data logging utility for selective logging of exceedances
Added calibration units of Acceleration m/sec^2

Order Analysis:
Compute and display Order vs RPM on Spectrogram plot.
Display RPM values instead of Time on Spectrogram and 3-D Surface plots.
Right click menu on Spectrogram to display Order plot.

Added Frequency Zoom toolbar controls to Spectrogram and 3-D Surface Plots

Added support for model DT9857 hardware

Added Cumulative Sound Exposure Level (C-SEL) measurement - right click on the time series plot. This is used for underwater acoustics applications.

Added the ability to export the peak wave form levels to a text file - intended for impulse type events such as pile driving.

Time Stamp information added to wave file.  Allows plots to display the actual clock time at which the data was recorded.  This new setting is on the <File> <File I/O Options> dialog box.

Added Threshold Limit Line to the time series plot - displays a dashed horizontal line at the level specified by the user.

Expanded the Frequency, Level, and Total Power utility windows. If peak hold is enabled separate columns will show live and peak hold values. The values are displayed using the same color as their respective traces on the plot

Added "Cumulative Sound Exposure Level (cSEL) measurement utility which provides realtime readings of the accumulated sound level.  This is commonly used for underwater noise monitoring such as pile driving.  The utility provides user defined limits and alarms.

SpectraPLUS-SC

Version 5.2:

Name changed to SpectraPLUS-SC to differentiate from SpectraPLUS-DT
